About Gerber & Louw
GERBER & LOUW (Pty) Ltd, was registered in December 2001, and launched in January 2002 as a diversified, “multi – services” financial services company. The founders and only directors of the company, at that time, was Fritz Gerber and Kobus Louw, - both with years of experience in financial services and the management of financial services. (Sanlam). Initially the company focused on all the primary financial services, including such diverse services like medical schemes, short term (asset) insurance, funeral benefits, etc
Towards the end of 2003, it became clear that a more specialized and personal approach in financial services was needed to serve our primary clients best. The two founder-directors decided to split the company in two, each business focusing on its own niche services.
This lead to the formation of a separate business owned and managed by Frits Gerber and the taking over of all shares and interests in GERBER & LOUW, by Kobus Louw.
Since October 2003, Kobus Louw is the Managing Director (and only share holder) of GERBER & LOUW (Pty) Ltd. and has no connection whatsoever with the businesses or activities of Frits Gerber. (Although good relations are maintained)
Since 2003, our company’s only primary focus was, and still are, independent, specialized and personal financial and investment advice on:
- 1. Investment Portfolio planning, implementation and evaluation.
- 2. Retirement planning, implementation and evaluation.
3. Financial risk (Life, Disability, Accident, Trauma) planning, implementation and evaluation.
- 4. Associated estate, tax and legal aspects.
